Dark Trio: Ocean Rowing World Record Holders

On Monday, 16 January 2023 at 09:45 local time, team Dark Trio (Gareth Keighley, Charlie Taylor and Aaron Kneebone) finished one of the toughest challenges out there - the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, setting a new world record in the process and beating the previous record holders by eight hours. We are incredibly proud to have helped to fuel their row. 

"The routines we had to employ meant the team didn't get more than 2 hours unbroken sleep for 35 days. That is such a tough thing to keep doing but the goal was to race and push, so we had no real choice. One of the other teams, Ambrose Buoys, would have overtaken us had we taken our foot of the gas!

"[Dark Trio] essentially ate only Expedition Foods rations. A few other brands had been taken and eaten but 1000kcal rations from Expedition Foods in general became the backbone of our nutrition... The team was so surprised by how good the rations taste, even after 35 days we never had any issue eating 3 meals a day."
